Friends of Maroondah Reservoir Park - Rose Step Rejuvenation
Welcome to the website of Friends of Maroondah Reservoir Park, a volunteer organization dedicated to restoring and maintaining the beautiful landscaped garden beds and ornamental features of Maroondah Reservoir Park. Our mission is to work together with the community to rejuventate the Rose Steps, decorative garden beds, rotundas, and stone works that make this park such a special place.
Join us today and help us preserve the beauty of Maroondah Reservoir Park for generations to come.
The group are currently working towards returning the garden beds that flank the rose steps to the original feature that it was (lower picture). This involves removing the dead pines, temporarily planting annuals to assist in soil preparation and then planting 100 new roses that are in accordance with the approved heritage style.
